Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance
By installing or using WebCapture you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and discontinue use.
2. The service
WebCapture is a browser extension that allows you to capture, annotate, and export screenshots of web pages. Features are split between a free tier and a paid Pro tier as described on the pricing section.
3. Free tier
Free use includes up to 20 captures per day, enforced locally in your browser. Quotas may be adjusted at any time. Free features include visible-area, selection, and full-page captures; recent local history; basic annotations (rectangles, arrows, redaction); PNG/JPEG downloads; clipboard copy; and print.
4. Pro plans
Pro plans (Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime) unlock additional features including all-tabs capture, URL-list queues, advanced annotation tools, saved annotations, PDF/GIF/BMP export, native sharing, drag-to-share, and access to older locally stored history. Lifetime licenses grant access to all Pro features available at the time of purchase for as long as the service operates.
5. Billing and refunds
- Monthly and Yearly plans are billed in advance and renew automatically. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
- Lifetime licenses are a one-time payment and are non-refundable after 14 days from purchase.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
6. Acceptable use
You may use WebCapture only for lawful purposes. You must not use the extension to capture or distribute content that infringes copyright, violates privacy, or is otherwise illegal. You are solely responsible for the captures you take and share.
7. Intellectual property
WebCapture and its underlying code remain the property of the developer. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the software. You may not resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the extension.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, missed captures, or damages arising from use of the extension. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.
9. Termination
We may revoke licenses that violate these Terms. You may stop using WebCapture at any time by uninstalling the extension. Revoked licenses lose access to Pro features; locally captured data on your device is unaffected.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified by email where possible.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
