Why some pages cannot be captured

What the browser blocks, what WebCapture does about it, and what you can still do.

  1. Browser-internal pages (settings, new tab, extension pages) cannot be captured by any extension. This is a browser rule, not a WebCapture limit.
  2. A browser's own add-on store blocks every capture mode. Another browser's store page may still allow a visible-area capture.
  3. WebCapture checks the active tab before offering the capture buttons and explains in plain language which modes are available.
  4. If a capture is blocked after it started, your Free daily credit is returned automatically.
